The filing deadline for candidates to run in the May primary election this year is less than two weeks away. In Henry County, two candidates have filed so far: Tom VonDeylen running for Henry County Commissioner, and Kevin Garringer running for county auditor, both as Republicans.
There are slots available for county offices, and central committee chairs. The primary this year will also feature candidates for the 81st House District in Ohio, and the First District of the state senate; but so far no candidates have filed. One issue has been filed for the May primary, and that’s a renewal levy for Patrick Henry schools for their emergency levy. The deadline for candidates and issues to be on the May ballot is February 7th at 4pm.
