A couple of U.S. Senators are praising the work of President Trump in standing-up for Ohio workers, by imposing a tariff on imports of large residential washing machines. The move is expected to protect jobs at the Whirlpool plant at Clyde, and likely allow the company to add 200 new jobs at the northwest Ohio facility. Senators Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman made the joint announcement. Senator Brown reports companies like LG and Samsung have been exporting washing machines to the U.S. at unfair prices.
