An arrest was reported by Defiance Police in connection with an early morning break-in reported today (Wed.) on Ottawa Avenue. At 4:19am, officers responded to 1035 Ottawa Avenue for a B&E complaint. During that investigation they responded to an adjacent residence, where they found 29 year old Brandon Fairchild of Defiance inside. Fairchild lives on Alton Street. Fairchild was charged with Burglary and Resisting Arrest. He was transported to Defiance Mercy Hospital; and then taken to the northwest Ohio regional jail. The Defiance Police canine unit was utilized in the incident.
