The Henry County Commissioners will be hosting the first public hearing in the 2018 community development block grant program on Tuesday. Sandy Kessler from Maumee Valley Planning Organization will explain the guidelines for applications, which are due April 9th. Henry County will have about $150,000 to spend on infrastructure projects, but a portion of that total will go toward administrative costs. Henry County Commissioners will have final approval on up to four projects that will be sent to the state level for consideration.
In their meeting Thursday, the Henry County board certified the county has 405.3 miles of roadway to be maintained.
And an agreement was approved with the Henry County emergency management agency providing $13,000 in funds to help plan response for hazardous material incidents.
