The new president of Napoleon City Council is Joe Bialorucki. That was part of the action at the Tuesday night meeting of council; along with swearing-in of recently elected council-persons: Ken Haase, Lori Siclair, Travis Schaefer, and Bialorucki.
A change order was approved on the Haley Avenue Sanitary Sewer project, due to an increase of more than $60,000 in the cost for the construction. This was due to poor soil condition, which was allowed by earlier city code, and led to collapse of some trenches. The additional cost also included more asphalt needed in the project.
Napoleon Council approved a rate adjustment in the EcoSmart Choice program in the city. And an executive session was held, dealing with pending litigation, and items to remain confidential regarding city utilities. No action was taken.
