The TRAC committee of ODOT has given preliminary approval to funding a second bridge over the Maumee River in Napoleon. It’s only a draft list; and changes could still be made, when the committee gathers again on January 24th. But the ODOT group has targeted 6 million dollars for the span in fiscal year 2019. A second bridge over the Maumee River could cut down time and mileage for trucks entering the Campbell Soup facility. It would also relieve pressure on the downtown for trucks trying to reach south side facilities like Keller Logistics and Campbells.
