An early morning house fire in Defiance County turned-out to be a deadly blaze today. (Fri.) The Defiance County 9-1-1 center received a report of a house on fire at 4321 East Rolling Meadows Boulevard near Defiance at 1:08 this (Fri.) morning. At just before 2am, fire-fighters located a body in the structure. A positive ID on the victim will be made through an autopsy at the Lucas County Coroner’s office. Responding to the fire was Noble Township, Defiance City fire department, Delaware Township, and Jewel fire department. The American Red Cross also assisted.
The house is owned by Junior Dockery, who is currently residing outside the United States.
