Some personnel action and staff benefits were part of the action for the Henry County Board of Health on Wednesday. A 2% cost-of-living wage increase was approved for employees, along with a 1% merit increase for those meeting performance standards.
Health insurance costs are going up by 12% next year; but the board will still pay 85% of the cost of that premium.
The Henry County Board of Health approved the hiring of 2 full-time nurses for the home health and hospice program: Janine Hussey and Christina Shaw. Friday is the deadline for candidates to apply for the commissioner position at the Henry County Health Department. So far, 23 names have been submitted.
And the Dotson Company was awarded the bid for interior renovations at the health department, located in the Oakwood Office Complex in Napoleon, with a cost of $362,000. Work will begin in January.
