The first snow of the season produced 18 accidents in Henry County over the weekend, including a couple of injury crashes. The sheriff’s office was dispatched to road 2 in Richfield Township Saturday just before 11am, where 66 year old San Juanita Alvarez of Deshler lost control of her auto into the ditch near road K. Alvarez was transported to the Wood County Hospital by McClure Rescue.
A two-vehicle collision was checked-out Sunday at 11:23am on road Y at road 14 in Pleasant Township. 28 year old Rebecca Stalnaker of New Bavaria suffered injuries, along with her passenger, 19 year old Marcos Barra of Holgate. Both Stalnaker and Barra were taken to the Henry County Hospital with injuries by the South Joint Ambulance District.
