The first phase of the demolition at Countryview Haven is underway in Henry County. Commissioners awarded the bid for demolition of the septic system to Irving and Sons of Napoleon, and that work is taking place, with 7 tanks to remove. Once that’s done, the ground will be filled-in.
The bidders that purchased the last items in the former Henry County home, are now removing articles from the facility. They have 45 days to get that done; and then commissioners will be bidding the demolition of the structure. The winning bidder will be able to pull any recyclable material out of the building, as they demolish it. Henry County Commissioners will follow demolition by returning the site to a useable residential parcel, and likely leave the driveway intact. That will allow the property to be sold, which includes just over 5 acres.
