The Henry County Commissioners continued their work on the budget Tuesday, meeting with more individual departments. The Senior Center is likely looking at less funding for Meals on Wheels from the Area Office on Aging. The preliminary funding for 2018 would decline by about $16,000. The latest information indicates Henry County is averaging 235 meals on wheels served each day, along with another 49 meals in the senior center.
The dedication ceremony for the new Henry County Senior Center is 10 days away, scheduled for December 16th at 11am. An open-house will follow that day from 1pm till 4pm.
And a change-order was approved by the Henry County Commissioners with an increase of nearly $1,400 for work at the Buckeye Building that will be the new home for the county transportation network.
