NAPOLEON COUNCIL RECOMMENDS RESCUE SERVICE-FLORIDA

The city of Napoleon may be providing rescue service to residents in the village of Florida soon.   The Napoleon ‘safety and human resources’ committee has recommended the city pick-up that territory, with the proposal now going before the full council body next week.   The village of Florida is currently served by South Richland and Jewell fire departments with rescue service.   This will allow full time emt’s to respond in medical emergencies.                 The cost for the village will be calculated by actual expenses from the past year, once the contract gets underway.  The formula also includes a factor for property valuations.
