TWO FATAL CRASHES IN NW OHIO OVER THE WEEKEND

Law officers investigated two fatal crashes in northwest Ohio over the weekend.   The Henry County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to the village of Holgate Friday at 11:30pm.  26 year old Dakota Delgado of Holgate was southbound on Wilhelm Street, and apparently drove around the downed crossing gate at the railroad tracks.  Delgado’s vehicle was struck by a westbound CSX train.  Dakota Delgado was pronounced dead at the scene.

And in Fulton County Friday at 7pm, the highway patrol investigated a single vehicle crash on U.S. 20 near county road 12.  18 year old Zachary Floyd of Lyons was the driver and suffered critical injuries.  Floyd was pronounced dead at the Fulton County Health Center.  A passenger, 18 year old Jesse Navarro, Jr. of Delta suffered serious injuries, and was transported to the Toledo Hospital.
