OCTOBER UNEMPLOYMENT RATES 2017

Every county in northwest Ohio recorded unemployment rates below the state average for the month of October.  Figures were released by Ohio Job and Family Services, with the state average at 4.5% last month.    Henry, Fulton, and Williams Counties all recorded 4% for their jobless rate, while Defiance County hit 4.3%.         Putnam County was lowest in the region at 3%, and Wood County checked-in at 3.9.

Around the Buckeye State, Mercer County had the lowest unemployment rate in October at 2.8%; while Monroe County topped the high-end with a jobless rate of 7.1%.   Henry County and Williams Counties each saw their unemployment rate nudge slightly higher in October, compared to September; but both were still below the state average.
