The highway patrol investigated a fatal crash in Defiance County over the weekend. On Saturday at 1:05pm, 58 year old Michelle Wyatt-Wheeler of Ft. Wayne was eastbound on route 2 east of Hicksville. Her auto went out of control, striking a parked truck along the road that was unoccupied. The driver was transported by Life Flight to Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, and Michelle Wyatt-Wheeler died of her injuries at the hospital. Troopers report she was wearing a seat belt.
