An early morning call today sent the Highland Township Fire Department into action, with a blaze that ignited in a home at the intersection of Kinner Road and the Defiance-Ayersville Road. Crews responded to the scene at 3:44am today, with mutual aid from the Defiance City Fire Department, along with New Bavaria fire department. No one has been transported from the scene with injuries at this point.
