The estimated cost for the renovation is nearly $354,000, and will include improvements to exam rooms, better use of conference space, and an overhaul of the clerical section of the health department. Bids for that work are due December 12th. Technicon Design Group is architect for the project.

The deadline has closed for candidates seeking the position of commissioner of the Henry County Health Department, with about ten applicants submitting their names. Interviews should get underway in the next week or two; with a hiring anticipated by early January.
