DESHLER APPROVES LOWER HEALTH CARE COVERAGE COST

The village of Deshler will see a decrease in some personnel costs for next year.  The health insurance rates through Medical Mutual for employees will decline by nearly 2.5% in 2018, and were approved by Deshler Council.

The fall leaf pickup is underway in Deshler on Mondays and Thursdays.  Leaves should be raked to the curb for collection.

Deshler Council approved a resolution to purchase real estate in the village, by recommendation of the mayor.

Panning Excavating and Gray’s Concrete were awarded the contracts for demolition of four houses in the village, which is being funded through the Henry County Commissioners.

And Deshler was approved for a grant of over $14,000 through ODNR, helping to pay for the Reservoir Park Pathway project on the north side.  That leaves about $10,000 remaining on the cost.
