PATRICK HENRY DISTRICT TURNS DOWN RENEWAL LEVY

The Patrick Henry school district may have to re-evaluate their future spending, after a renewal levy for emergency requirements of the district went down to defeat on Tuesday.   Patrick Henry Superintendent Tom Taylor says the board recently let a previous operating levy expire, so the district was already collecting less revenue from property owners, and was hoping to get support for this levy.  It was put-up for a three year period, so it could be re-evaluated every few years.
