NAPOLEON COUNCIL APPROVES NEW RECYCLING CONTRACT

A new contract to handle Napoleon’s recycling program was approved by city council Monday night, covering the next three years.  Werlor’s Inc. of Defiance was awarded the contract likely to hit $27,000 each year.  The cost is an increase from before; but city officials believe there will be reductions in the amount of recyclables for each customer.  That’s because Napoleon will be implementing more stringent requirements in pickup.   Crews will leave behind any items that are not recyclable, from glass to non-recycle cardboard and plastic.   The new recycling contract with Werlor begins December 1st.
