WEEKEND TRAFFIC REPORT

The Henry County Sheriff’s office investigated three injury crashes over the weekend.  Friday night at 10pm, 36 year old Jennifer Mulka of Defiance lost control of car on road 17-B in Pleasant Township, striking a tree.  Mulka was transported from the scene with serious injuries, and was taken to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

Saturday at 4:40am, a semi jack-knifed on U.S. 24 in Washington Township, and ended up in the median.  35 year old Bryan Pickett of Kokomo, Indiana was injured and transported to Toledo Hospital by Providence Township rescue.

Then Saturday just after 7pm, 19 year old Brian Shook of rural Napoleon lost control of his auto on road M-1, striking a utility pole.  Two passengers in the vehicle were injured, including 21 year old Raven McCague of Defiance, and 20 year old Jaden Buchop of Napoleon.  Both women were transported to the Henry County Hospital by Napoleon Rescue.

Napoleon Fire Department and Police both responded to the 600 block of Haley Avenue just before 10am Saturday, where a gas leak was detected.  Families were evacuated in that block, and the Ohio Gas Company responded.  The all-clear sent everyone back home within an hour.

Napoleon officers also made an arrest in the 900 block of Haley Avenue Sunday at 3:20am.  43 year old Richard Siler, Jr. of Napoleon was charged with Criminal Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct.
