Some long range transportation plans are being coordinated in Defiance and Fulton Counties, with input being gathered by Maumee Valley Planning Organization. This transportation is meant to assist senior citizens, clients of MRDD, and possibly others. The plan is to identify existing sources of transportation, but to also look for gaps in programs, and then determining strategies to meet those needs.
Fulton County will host a public meeting on Thursday, November 9th at 6pm at the county commissioners office on Fulton Street. Another is scheduled in Defiance on November 13th at 6pm at the Defiance County senior center building on Broadway Avenue. Input gathered at these meetings will help form the transportation plans for the future in these communities.
