NATURE WORKS GRANTS AWARDED IN NW OHIO

Several local communities were approved for Nature Works grants through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.  Over 2.7 million dollars will be distributed state-wide.   The village of Leipsic was awarded $14,700 for a recreational boat dock and launch at the Yellow Creek Reservoir in Putnam County.                        Defiance County received funding for two projects, including $8,840 for a concession stand and restroom complex at the Hicksville Park.  The other is for $22,500 to install lighting for the parking area and driveway at Crystal Fountain Lake and Sherwood Lake.

                   Williams County was awarded $16,700 for installation of a concrete canoe launch for access to the Tiffin River in Stryker.

   And Fulton County received just over $16,000 to construct a trailhead as part of the Toledo Metro-park system.
