The first day of November has produced the initial house fire of the season. A passerby noticed flames coming from a residence along the Henry-Wood County line at 4:20 this morning, between state route 65 and road Q. Fire departments from McClure and Grand Rapids were sent to the scene, and are battling the blaze.
The Henry County Sheriff’s office made a couple of arrests on Halloween night. At 10:45pm Tuesday, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Henry Street in McClure, where 31 year old Andrew Peters of McClure was charged with Domestic Violence.
Then at 11:41pm last night, another altercation was reported on Theresa Street in Holgate, where 19 year old Katelyn Miller of Holgate was charged with Domestic Violence. Miller and Peters were both transported to the northwest Ohio Regional Jail, awaiting court appearances.
