NAPOLEON SCHOOLS RESPOND TO FACEBOOK POST-THREAT

A social media post of inaccurate information regarding an event at Napoleon high school has led to response from the administration.   On Thursday, a student was overheard talking about shooting themselves or someone else at the school.   That comment grew to a false report of a threat at Napoleon high school being posted.    Napoleon Police were called and interviewed students, and to the administration’s knowledge, no such threat ever occurred.  The student is being disciplined, and charges will be filed with the local prosecutor’s office.   Napoleon Police and the Henry County Sheriff’s office sent officers to be visible at the school buildings today (Fri.).  Had this been an actual event, Napoleon Superintendent Steve Fogo reports far more stringent actions would have gone into affect.   Any questions can be directed to the Napoleon superintendent’s office.
