The search for a new commissioner for the Henry County Health Department is getting ramped-up. The position is expected to be posted inside the office, and to outside candidates either Friday or Monday. The board is shooting to have a new health commissioner by the first of 2018, to replace Anne Goon, who’s contract was terminated.
In other action, the Henry County board of health approved contracts for three new staff members: Shelly Boehm as office assistant, Alicia Drain at receptionist/clerk, and Kaitlyn Fritz-public health nurse with home health and hospice. Karen Busch was also promoted to quality assurance nurse in the home health and hospices program.
