The village of Deshler is working to make their community more beautiful; and that includes plans to demolish 4 houses that are no longer used. Bids for these demolition projects should be submitted to the Henry County Commissioners by early November. Funding is coming from the CDBG program. Deshler Council got some good news with their insurance renewal for liability coverage. The cost for 2018 is just under $38,000, which is a decrease of $300.
The annual Halloween parade in Deshler is set for this Saturday at 4pm, with trick-or-treating to follow on Saturday, from 5pm till 6:30.
