ORGANIC FARMS ON RISE IN OHIO

The number of organic farms in the Buckeye State is surging upward.  A government survey indicates Ohio ranks 7th in the nation for organic farms.  And there are double digit increases in the number of organic farms, organic land in production, and organic sales.   Agriculture officials believe organic farming will play a key role in economic development around the state.

                   Since 2015, sales of organic products are up 30%.  And in the nation, organic farming is a 7.6 billion dollar industry.
