A new administrator in the police department was sworn-in Monday night by Napoleon Council. Greg Smith is a 9 year veteran of the force, and was appointed lieutenant. He also served in the army before his stint in law enforcement.
The Napoleon Council meeting also included visitors from the 1200 block of Dodd Street, who were concerned they would be forced to pay for sidewalks on both sides of the street. That issue is getting a second look with the city engineer, since sidewalks were only installed on one side of Park Court in an earlier construction project.
And council has set aside the dates of November 10th and 11th for special meetings to work on the Napoleon city budget for 2018.
