NAPOLEON COUNCIL BUYS PROPERTY, NO ROUNDHOUSE ROAD

There were high hopes at one time for a development on the north side of Napoleon, and council actually named the proposed street in that development as Roundhouse Road.  But council is going a different direction, and actually approved the purchase of property from the investor at $33,000.   That will allow the city to put construction of Roundhouse Road on hold indefinitely, since Napoleon would have had to pay $450,000 to have that street installed.     Instead, the money will be used to make repairs on more streets around the city in 2018.                 There is still a chance of some development in that area off Scott Street; but nothing at present.

Napoleon Council approved a third reading for new fees in the fire department.             And mayor Jason Maassel and councilman Dan Baer were each re-appointed to new terms on the Henry County CIC.

Council went into executive session to discuss personnel and negotiations; but no action was taken.
