When the calendar turns to 2018 in January, the Patrick Henry school board of education will be short a member, and no one is running in the election this year.  Sara Dishong will complete her term in December, so the district will be looking for interested residents to fill the slot.  Applications will be accepted at the board office until November 17th, with interviews slated for December.   This board position would cover a two year period.

The Patrick Henry school board reviewed that issue, and approved the sale of the former Malinta-Grelton School property at 1.5 acres.  Interested parties should contact New Concept Realty.

The board approved moving Matt Caris on the salary scale for extra hours of education; and an overnight trip for Camp Palmer outdoor education was approved for Patrick Henry 7th graders in May.

And the Patrick Henry board named Andrew Niese their student liaison for this school year, with Hannah Kinder the alternate.  It’s the 6th year for the program, in which students report to the board on activities and events of interest to them.
