When it comes to sizeable sledding hills in the village of Liberty Center, there aren’t many options. So the town council is looking to utilize left-over dirt from the school construction project, to create a sledding hill at the Cherry Street Park. If they can get grass to fill-in this fall, that project might be completed by the end of the year.
Liberty Center council approved resolutions to apply for issue-2 grant dollars to pay for improvements on West Cherry Street, East Young, and Edison Lane. The village will be getting together with the Ohio EPA on October 11th in a teleconference to discuss test wells scheduled to be drilled after the crops are out, at a plot north of town.
And the bid opening for Liberty Center’s ‘rails to trails’ bike- trail extension is set for next Thursday.
