NW OHIO GLEANERS HAUL CARROTS

Somebody will have a lot clearer picture of the world around them, thanks to the work of the volunteer gleaners in northwest Ohio.   In their first outing of the harvest, the gleaners hauled-in 914 pounds of carrots for distribution to local food pantries.   The produce was left-over after the harvest at Baughman Farms near Napoleon, where 9 volunteers took-on the challenge last week.  The next outing for the northwest Ohio gleaners will focus on the harvest of local potatoes and tomatoes.  Anyone can join the effort, if its for an hour or two; or for a whole day.   To get on the mailing list call 419-784-62-91.
