The highway patrol investigated a couple of fatal motorcycle crashes that occurred Sunday in Northwest Ohio. Sunday at 2:30am, David Binger of Delta lost control of his motorcycle on Central Avenue in Sylvania Township. The bike struck a curb, and Binger was ejected. Troopers report he was transported to the Toledo Hospital, where David Binger died of his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
Then at 8:26pm Sunday, 50 year old Stephen Powhida of Holland, Ohio was traveling with his motorcycle on Central Avenue in West Toledo, and struck a pickup that had pulled into his path. Stephen Powhida suffered critical injuries; and was pronounced dead at the scene.
