In the mid 1980’s local counties began talking about a regional jail format, to help cut-down on the cost of each county running their own jails. That led to the creation of the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, which is now being recognized for 30 years of service. To celebrate that milestone CCNO will be hosting ‘open house’ opportunities for northwest Ohio residents. Tours of the facility will be provided, and visitors will be allowed to ask questions as well. Participants will need to bring a driver’s license or photo ID; so background checks can take place for security reasons. You must be 13 or over to attend the Open House. The dates to visit the regional jail are Sunday, October 1st from noon to 5pm, Monday, October 2nd from 4 till 8pm, and Wednesday, October 4th from noon till 5pm.
