As promised, Ohio Senator Cliff Hite has introduced legislation to change the setback laws for wind turbines in the Buckeye State. Hite says this should open more development, and create renewable energy jobs. He says Northwest Ohio has been a leading player in the generation of wind power, until stricter regulations were put in place. Hite says the current law requires wind turbines to be about a quarter mile away from the nearest property.
