The new school construction project rolls-on at Liberty Center, where the board of education reviewed the latest news Monday night. The work is on-schedule, and should be complete by mid-November, allowing the district to make the move to the new facility over Christmas break. In the past week, crews have been testing the air conditioning and heating systems. Any dedication ceremony would probably be held-off until next summer, due to demolition still required on the current facilities.
The Liberty Center board approved teachers moving-up on the salary scale with more education, they include Brett Green, Holly Weber, Jodi Biederstedt, and Staci Bowers.
A couple of custodial contracts were approved for Charlie Krueger, and Corey Meister. The Purple Star program recognizes Liberty Center staff and students that are part of military families. Teacher Brett Green is a member of the national guard, and is being deployed for the recovery effort in Florida.
And Liberty Center schools first senior citizen breakfast is scheduled for September 28th at 8:30am.
