Congressman Bob Latta has introduced an amendment to the U.S. House of Representatives appropriations bill that would protect the life of unborn children diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. The amendment would prohibit federal funding to international organizations that promote or perform abortions for the sole reason of a Down Syndrome diagnosis. A recent CBS news report highlighted the fact that nearly 100% of Down Syndrome diagnosis of unborn children in Iceland leads to those babies being aborted. Latta followed by stating, ‘every life is precious and must be protected.’
