The highway patrol investigated a fatal accident in Paulding County just before 5am Wednesday morning. 55 year old George Weiler (wiler) of Bowling Green crashed his rig into a bridge, and the truck then tumbled off an overpass, catching fire on U.S. 24 about a mile east of the Ohio-Indiana line. George Weiler was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Henry County Sheriff’s office is investigating a death in Deshler, reported yesterday morning. The body of 26 year old Richard Wickard, II of Deshler was found in the Deshler Reservoir at 8:23am Wednesday. No foul play is suspected at this time; but the case is still under investigation. An autopsy has been ordered by the Henry County Coroner’s office.
