It was a deadly Labor Day holiday on Ohio roadways. The highway patrol reports 24 persons were killed in traffic accidents from Friday through Monday night across the Buckeye State. That’s compared to 11 traffic fatalities a year ago. Troopers arrested 845 drivers for being impaired; while another 6,171 safety belt violations were issued. The highway patrol made 536 drug arrests in Ohio over the Labor Day weekend, and assisted over 3,500 motorists during that span.
