Over the past ten years, the Northwest State Community College Foundation has provided nearly 3-million dollars to help students, and improve the campus environment. At the recent board of trustees meeting, another check was presented from the foundation, topping $550,000. The money will specifically help pay for scholarships, equipment, STEM outreach programs, and support for students.
In other action, the NW state board approved Terri Lavin as full-time Director of Admissions. Verna Chears was hired as Outreach Specialist for Custom Training Solutions, and Samantha Morr was approved as full-time secretary for Admissions and Student Services.
