The Defiance County Sheriff’s office has taken into custody a fugitive of justice from the state of Michigan. Acting on a tip, deputies responded to Fountain Street in Hicksville, where 36 year old Joshua T. Brown of Pittsford, Michigan was wanted for Failing to Register a change of address as a Sex Offender. Brown was arrested without incident, with the help of Hicksville Police, and is now being held at the regional jail. He is scheduled for an extradition hearing in Defiance Municipal Court.
In Napoleon Municipal Court, 29 year old Phillip Panning of Deshler was bound over to the Henry County Grand Jury. Panning waived his preliminary hearing on felony charges of Aggravated Burglary, and for Burglary. Bond was continued for Panning.
