School districts, cities, and other governmental agencies should get some financial help, with the Bureau of Worker’s Compensation considering a reduction in their worker’s comp premiums for 2018. The decrease would likely be 6.1%, and it is being offered due to declining claims from worksites, and a favorable forecast for future average claim costs. This proposal will go before the Ohio Worker’s Compensation board in late September, and if approved, could save public employers 11.8 million dollars in premiums from the current year.
