MORE HOMES TO BE DEMOLISHED IN HENRY COUNTY

The Henry County Commissioners approved some agreements in connection with the downtown revitalization project in Deshler.   Grant dollars are helping fund improvements for many local companies and properties.  Over $20,000 in restoration work was approved this week by commissioners, with the property-owner providing 50% of the cost.

An agreement between the city of Napoleon and Henry County means Napoleon will provide up to $10,000 to help pay the cost of public defenders utilized in court cases, when there is a municipal offense involved.

The next phase of the blighted home demolition program will lead to tear-downs in Napoleon and Grelton, and two more are proposed in Marion Township.   The expenses are paid from Henry County’s revolving loan fund.  The board will be looking for bidders to handle the demolition.

And the Henry County Commissioners went into executive session to discuss employment of personnel; but no action was taken.
