HENRY COUNTY TO RECEIVE SATELLITE MOBILE UNIT

Can you imagine a scenario where a tornado strikes, and all communication is down, including internet and cell phones?    That disaster could cripple first responders, so Henry County EMA director Tracy Busch came-up with the idea of a mobile satellite unit that could be transported by trailer.   The state of Ohio liked the idea, and they have designed four of those units, and Henry County will house one of them.   It’s been two years in the construction phase; but should be ready for implementation this fall.   Henry County will receive their mobile satellite unit in October.  Henry County Commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding with the Ohio Department of Public Safety for this project.
