Sentences were handed down in several recent cases from Henry County Common Pleas Court.
51 year old Adam Couts of Napoleon pled guilty on two counts of Rape, and another count of Sexual Battery. Couts was sentenced to 25-33 years in prison, and was classified as a Tier-3 sex offender.
24 year old Emilio Gonzales of Napoleon pled guilty to Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, and was sentenced to 10 months in prison.
42 year old Tony Byrd, Jr. of Deshler pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and was sentenced to 6 months in prison.
31 year old Gamaliel L. Matias of Ridgeville Corners pled guilty to Trespassing in a Habitation, and was placed on community control for 2 years.
23 year old Wyatt F. Whalen of Defiance pled guilty to Complicity in Trafficking Fentanyl, and was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Also sentenced in Henry County Court was 23 year old Claire Lawrence of Maumee, who pled guilty to misdemeanor counts of Assault and OVI. Lawrence was placed on supervised probation for two years.
