A two-vehicle crash in Williams County has taken the life of an Edon man, and caused injuries for two others. The Ohio Highway Patrol investigated the accident around 7:30pm Sunday, at the intersection of Williams County roads K and 17.
According to the report, 36 year old Steven Thompson of Edon was travelling westbound, and pulled into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by 72 year old John Matthews of Bryan. Steven Thompson suffered critical injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Thompson auto, 34 year old Aaron Laney of Montpelier, suffered serious injuries; and was taken from the scene by air ambulance. Laney was transported to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. The other driver, John Matthews, was transported to Parkview Hospital in Bryan with serious injuries.
