The Henry County Senior Center is kicking-off ‘Older Americans Month’ in May with a big event. It’s the Senior Center Health Fair, with a free meal and a number of health exhibitors. The date is next Wednesday, May 4th beginning at 8:30am, and going into the afternoon. Tickets are required, and are free at the Henry County Senior Center, contact them for more details, or stop in. There will be presenters on a variety of senior health topics, and exhibitors like the Henry County Hospital, Henry County Health Department, along with local nursing homes and assisted living sites. The Napoleon fire and police departments will be represented, along with a local physicians assistant, visiting nurses, Medicare info, mental health services and more.
The day will also include the announcement of this year’s Henry County 'Senior of the Year'. The event is free, but tickets are requested for a food count for the meal, and shuttle service will be provided if overflow parking is needed.
