Every county in northwest Ohio saw their unemployment rates fall in the month of March, compared with February. But Henry County still remained above the state average of 4.4%, with their jobless rate of 5%, down from 5.8 the month before. Fulton County’s rate dropped from 4.9 to 4.2%; and Defiance County’s unemployment fell from 4.1 to 3.8 %.Williams County’s jobless figure was down a tenth of a percent to 3.7% in March. Paulding County matched that at 3.7.
Putnam County was lowest in the region for unemployment rates at 3.1%, falling from 3.8 in February.
Around the Buckeye State, the lowest jobless rates were Holmes County at 2.6%, and Mercer County at 2.7. Lorain County had the highest unemployment in Ohio for March at 7.9%.
