The Highway Patrol investigated a fatal motorcycle accident in Defiance County Tuesday night. Troopers were called to U.S. 24 in Richland Township at 11:40pm that night, when 42 year old Chad L. Goff of Defiance was operating his motorcycle westbound. The motorcycle struck two deer on the highway, and Goff was ejected from the bike. A trailing westbound vehicle on U.S. 24 struck the victim, causing critical injuries. Chad Goff was pronounced dead at the scene.
